#TWElectionUpdates -Han concedes

Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) asked his supporters to calm down, acknowledging their disappointment. He said he has called Tsai to congratulate her on her victory.

Han apologized for not working hard enough but called for unity in Taiwan and urged Tsai to create an environment in which Taiwanese could be prosperous and live in peace.

He also said he would return to work on Monday as #Kaohsiung mayor to take care of public order and tourism issues.

But Han will be facing a recall movement seeking to throw him out of office because he decided to run for president so soon after being elected Kaohsiung mayor in November 2018.
